Bergeron Technical Services land surveying provides services NH and ME and civil engineering in NH, with a focus on site planning, drainage, and site design. Role Description The Civil Engineer will work on-site in North Conway, NH in a full-time capacity, contributing to site planning, grading, drainage design, and civil infrastructure for residential, commercial, and municipal projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing engineering drawings, calculations, and reports; supporting land use and permitting applications; and coordinating with surveyors, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies. The role involves performing stormwater management design and analysis, reviewing site plans for code and regulatory compliance, and assisting with construction administration, including field observations and documentation. The Civil Engineer will help respond to client technical questions, provide clear recommendations, and participate in project meetings to ensure designs are practical, safe, and compliant with local, state, and federal requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong civil engineering foundation, including Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design skills relevant to site planning and infrastructure projects.
  • \n

  • Experience with Planning for land use, site layout, and permitting processes in municipal and state regulatory environments.
  • \n

  • Proficiency in Stormwater Management, including drainage analysis, erosion control, and compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.
  • \n

  • Background working as Civil Engineers on multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with surveying, design, and construction professionals.
  • \n

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field; FE/EIT certification preferred, PE licensure in NH or eligibility a plus.
  • \n

  • Ability to use civil design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar), and perform technical calculations with attention to detail.
  • \n

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients and stakeholders clearly.

  • Capability to work on-site, conduct field visits, and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a consulting environment.
