Summary
Maverick is seeking an Assistant Project Manager ("APM") to support our growing team in Boston, with offices across the US. We are looking for an efficient APM to contribute to and support the planning and execution of projects. The APM's responsibilities include monitoring project progress, following up with stakeholders on the completion or delay of project phases, scheduling meetings, and maintaining project documents and reports.
Successful candidates should be able to oversee multiple projects of varying scope within our engineering, construction, and utility services departments — including assistant project management of electrical and electrical utility construction work, as well as telecommunications and EV infrastructure projects. An outstanding APM will assist in maintaining oversight of all project activities, identify issues early, and ensure they are resolved promptly.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing construction, electrical, and telecommunications infrastructure projects for new site builds and modifications to existing facilities, including electrical utility construction and make-ready work.
- Assist in managing budgets, project schedules and timelines, goals, submittals, RFIs, and external vendors in accordance with existing contract terms and conditions.
- Accountable for achieving project milestones and revenue targets while mitigating risk exposure for assigned projects.
- Assist in managing all project activities including coordination with engineering services, permitting, internal pre-deployment meetings, client meetings, scope, deliverables, and material ordering.
- Interpret contract documents, communicate scope of work to the project team, and develop schedule and budget forecasts.
- Serve as Assistant Project Manager on electrical and electrical utility construction projects as assigned, in addition to telecommunications and EV infrastructure work.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and/or strong construction/telecommunications/electrical utility background.
- Construction, electrical utility, and/or telecommunication experience is a plus.
- Certified Assistant Project Management (CAPM) is a plus.
- Assistant Project Management experience; experience managing electrical or electrical utility construction projects is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel to construction sites as needed.
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather.
- Ability to work storm restoration events.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol and background check requirements.
