Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, with the added benefit of occasional onsite work within our outpatient office located in Westfield. As a part of our counseling team, you will collaborate with educators, administrative staff, and other mental health professionals in creating a cohesive strategy to provide support to students. The work setting is dynamic, encouraging flexibility and adaptability during peak student examination and wellness periods.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough intake assessments and mental health screenings to evaluate students' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.

  • Offer short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention to students experiencing a range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, and stress management.
  • \n

  • Facilitate therapy groups and workshops, addressing topics such as coping strategies, emotional regulation, and personal development tailored to the unique challenges faced by college students.

  • Collaborate consistently with a network of campus partners, including academic advisors and student organizations, ensuring comprehensive support for all students.
  • \n

  • Engage in proactive outreach initiatives, including mental health awareness campaigns and wellness events to educate and reduce stigma in our community.
  • \n

  • Maintain detailed and confidential patient records in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines, ensuring that each student's privacy and dignity are upheld.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is on the diverse population of college students, who face unique challenges related to their academic and personal lives. You will work with individuals dealing with a range of concerns from transitional stressors to chronic mental health issues. Your expertise will guide students as they navigate their education while addressing their personal well-being.

Qualifications\n

  • An active license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.
  • \n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is essential for this role.
  • \n

  • Demonstrated understanding of the mental health challenges specific to college-aged individuals, with the ability to connect and communicate effectively.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling productive relationships with students, faculty, and campus staff.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices and brief treatment models commonly implemented in university settings.

  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload while maintaining a high level of service in a fast-paced environment.
  • \n

Preferred Experience\n

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical mental health setting, preferably within educational institutions.

  • Experience working with culturally diverse populations and understanding various backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
