A remote Pharmacist opportunity is available for candidates holding an active pharmacist license in any state. This contract-to-hire role offers the chance to work with a dedicated healthcare organization focused on Part B drug and biologic prior authorization reviews and appeals, supporting clinical policy application in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Location: Remote (open to candidates nationwide with valid state licensure)
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM EST
- Mandatory weekend and holiday rotation
- No days off unless emergency from 01/01/27 to 03/31/2027
Contract Duration: October 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027 (6 months)
Responsibilities:
- Review Part B drug and biologic prior authorization requests and appeals in accordance with Medicare and clinical policies
- Apply utilization management criteria to authorization decisions, ensuring consistency and accuracy
- Provide clinical support and answer inquiries related to Part B drug policies for internal teams
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance review quality and operational efficiency
- Adapt to changing workflows and business requirements while maintaining high-quality productivity
Qualifications:
- PharmD degree with an active pharmacist license in at least one state
- Minimum of 2 years utilization management experience, managed care residency, or relevant specialty pharmacy experience
- Strong clinical judgment with ability to independently evaluate complex Part B drug requests
- Experience with Part B drug prior authorization and appeals review highly preferred
- Prior utilization management and prior authorization experience is a significant plus
