Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher providing direct services to students in grades K-12 on a full-time, onsite contract. You’ll collaborate with a welcoming team, design individualized instruction, and support a diverse student population, helping each child achieve their fullest potential.
Qualifications:
- Current Massachusetts Special Education (SPED) License required
- Previous experience working with K-12 caseloads preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Flexibility to adapt teaching strategies to meet individualized student needs
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Deliver instruction in a variety of settings, including resource rooms and classrooms
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes according to district and state guidelines
- Work closely with general education staff, families, and other specialists
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Use evidence-based practices and modify curriculum as needed
- Advocate for students and ensure compliance with legal and ethical requirements
