Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in an educational support role preferred
- Passion for encouraging student growth and learning in a collaborative setting
- Ability to build rapport with students and maintain a positive, respectful classroom atmosphere
- Strong communication skills and a flexible, patient approach to addressing student needs
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 with a student, offering individualized support to promote academic, behavioral, and social success
- Assist teachers in adapting lesson plans and instructional materials for the student’s needs
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to instructional staff
- Help supervise and guide students throughout the school day, including transitions and activities
- Model and reinforce positive behaviors through consistent encouragement and support
