Springfield Commonwealth Academy is seeking a dedicated English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching English language learners and creating an inclusive learning environment.
\n
Duties
\n
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to students' language proficiency levels
\n
- Provide instruction in English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening
\n
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles
\n
- Manage classroom activities and ensure a positive learning atmosphere
\n
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their language development
\n
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student learning goals
\n
Requirements
\n
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, colleagues, and parents
\n
- Experience in special education or working with diverse student populations is beneficial
\n
- Proficiency in lesson planning and classroom management techniques
\n
- Knowledge of bilingual education or literacy education is advantageous
\n
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for educational purposes
\n
- Experience in tutoring or teaching visually impaired or deaf students would be a plus
\n
- Capable of speaking Spanish or Korean is highly desired
\n
