Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time Physical Therapist (PT) opportunity is available to serve K-8 students in a school-based setting located in Cambridge, MA. This contract position runs through June 17, 2026, with an immediate start date and offers a flexible schedule amounting to 10 hours per week. The role requires onsite service delivery, with travel between school campuses in Lawrence, MA, supported by mileage reimbursement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Physical Therapy services to a caseload of 7 students, ranging from Kindergarten to 8th grade.
- Collaborate with educational teams to support students physical needs as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Attend IEP meetings as needed, with scheduling flexibility based on the PTs workdays.
- Utilize the ESPED platform for documentation and reporting.
- Work with available PT equipment; no adaptive or assistive devices are currently in use by students.
- plete all required fingerprinting and CORI background checks prior to employment.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Massachusetts license to practice Physical Therapy.
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-8) preferred.
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites within the district.
- Strong collaborative and munication skills to effectively participate in IEP meetings.
