Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with orthopedic and trauma experience and an active MA RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a hospital Operating Room setting
- Patient population includes ortho, trauma, general, neuro, ENT, vascular, thoracic, urology, plastics, and podiatry surgeries
- Perform complex surgical procedures using endoscopic, laser, and various surgical equipment
- 10-hour day shifts from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with two on-call shifts per month
- 13-week assignment duration
- No local travelers accepted; candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
- Demonstrate aseptic technique and proficiency in technical skills for a wide range of surgical specialties
- Required to test for ECG/tele and medication proficiency within 48 hours of offer, via remote proctored exam
- Prepare for and utilize provided study guide for testing
- Holiday coverage and occasional weekend call may be required
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration; no more than three consecutive days off approved
- First time travelers are not being considered for this role

- Active Massachusetts (MA) RN license required at the time of consideration
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- Recent Operating Room experience, including ortho trauma and general cases
- Travel nursing experience required
- Must pass ECG/tele and medication knowledge tests with a minimum score of 85% before acceptance; only one attempt allowed
- COVID vaccine with booster and seasonal flu vaccination required, with medical exemptions accepted
- Candidates must not have worked at the facility in any capacity within the past six months
