Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting an Extended School Year (ESY) program serving K-12 students. This role offers the chance to use your nursing expertise in a dynamic school setting, located near Londonderry, NH. Work closely with educators, students, and families to ensure a safe, healthy environment during summer learning.
This contract assignment is structured Monday through Thursday, 8AM to 2PM, totaling 22 hours per week—ideal for nurses looking for flexibility. You’ll be at the heart of the ESY program, providing essential healthcare services and making a real difference in children’s lives across grade levels.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current RN License in New Hampshire, with clean credentials
- Experience in school nursing, campus healthcare, or pediatric healthcare preferred
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in urgent situations
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with school staff, students, and parents
- Background check and immunization documentation as required by state guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care for K-12 students attending the ESY program
- Administer medications and manage chronic health conditions
- Assess student health needs and address injuries or illnesses during school hours
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate with staff/families regarding care plans
- Support a healthy educational environment by promoting health and wellness practices
- Respond quickly to any health emergencies and follow established protocols
