Edgestone staffing is looking for an experienced hard-working individual who is motivated, has a positive, can-do attitude, and is eager to learn. You will assist in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing forklifts and diesel trucks while ensuring top-quality service.
Monday-Friday 6:00am- 4:00pm
- Assist in performing routine maintenance on our fleet, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, driving record check, supervisory references and criminal background check.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces, tools, and equipment.
- Document work performed and communicate progress to senior mechanics or supervisors.
- Must be able to lift 50-80 pounds.
- Participate in training sessions to improve technical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Active DOT medical card preferred. Candidates without a current card must be willing to obtain one.
- Candidate must have their own tools.
- Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics and systems.
- Position requires basic computer skills.
- Willingness to learn and take directions from experienced technicians.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of diesel mechanics helpful.
- Maintain orderly and safe work area.
- Must have a clean driving record with no moving violations
