Step into an impactful role making a difference in the lives of high school students! A full-time Special Education position is available for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity begins in August and extends through June, located near Claremont, NH. You’ll have the opportunity to support and guide students on their educational journeys, working closely with a welcoming school community.
This assignment offers a consistent schedule, Monday through Friday, for 32–37.5 hours per week. As a valued special education professional, you’ll create and implement individualized education plans, collaborate with classroom teachers, and advocate for student success. Be part of shaping a supportive and inclusive educational environment as you serve a high school caseload throughout the academic year.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with high school student populations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs
- Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt lessons and materials to meet students’ abilities and needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Assess student progress and maintain detailed records
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
