Position: Automotive State Inspector / Lube Technician
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Location: [Insert Location or Shop Name]
No weekends – Overtime available, not required
Key Responsibilities:
As a dual-role technician, you’ll be responsible for both performing state inspections and assisting with general automotive maintenance services, including:
State Vehicle Inspections

Perform thorough and accurate Massachusetts State Vehicle Inspections in compliance with state regulations

Identify safety and emissions issues and clearly communicate findings to service advisors or customers
Basic Maintenance & Light Repairs

Perform oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements

Conduct tire rotations, patches, replacements, and TPMS resets

Complete brake inspections and brake pad/rotor replacements

Perform battery testing and replacements

Top off fluids, inspect belts and hoses, and ensure vehicle readiness

Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all safety procedures
Requirements:
? Must have a valid Massachusetts State Inspector License
? Basic automotive maintenance knowledge and hands-on experience
? Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment
? Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
? Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
