Job Description

General Manager in Training Wedgewood Weddings Location: Hampstead, NH

Pay: $80,000 – $87,550 | Quarterly Bonus: $2,500 | Training Bonus: $5,000

Run your own venue. Own a stake in the company.

If you've been managing teams, driving revenue, and running operations for years but feel like the next step just isn't there — this might be worth reading.

We're hiring a General Manager in Training at Wedgewood Weddings. This is a 6–12 month paid pathway designed for experienced hospitality leaders — restaurant AGMs, hotel or country club F&B managers, banquet managers — who are ready to run a venue of their own. You bring the leadership experience. We provide the structure, support, and a clear path to a GM seat.

What makes this different

Our business is event-based, which means the schedule is predictable in a way restaurant and hotel operations simply aren't. You'll know when the big days are coming, plan for them, and execute them. Weekends are a real part of this role — but the open-ended chaos of restaurant service is not. This is high-volume hospitality with structure you can actually build a career around.

Our GMs aren't just managers. They run their venues with genuine autonomy — coaching their sales team, owning their financial results, developing their people, and setting the culture. You'll have a supportive leader in your corner and a network of centralized teams in HR, marketing, and accounting behind you. But the venue is yours to lead.

What you'll learn and do

During your 6–12 month training you'll gain hands-on experience across every part of the operation:

  • Sales team coaching, development, and performance management
  • Event execution — from planning through flawless wedding day delivery
  • Culinary and banquet operations oversight
  • Revenue, labor, and cost management
  • Recruiting and building a team that reflects your standards

Employee Ownership Program

Most hospitality managers spend their careers building value for someone else. At Wedgewood, GMs are invited into our Employee Ownership Program — a real financial stake in the company's long-term growth. If Wedgewood hits its financial targets, you earn a significant payout beyond your standard compensation, tied to your tenure and performance. Payouts for GMs range from 4 to 18+ months of salary. As new venues open and the business grows, so does your reward. This isn't a benefit — it's the difference between being a manager and being an owner.

Compensation and benefits

  • Base salary: $80,000 – $87,550
  • Quarterly bonus: $2,500
  • Training bonus: $5,000
  • Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with match, self-managed PTO, paid holidays, and sick leave

Location and relocation

Training takes place at our Hampstead, NH venue. After training, placement is based on your goals and business needs across our 80+ venues nationwide. We're looking for candidates who are open to relocation and excited by where growth can take them.

You bring

  • Proven leadership experience in hospitality, events, or a sales-driven operation — AGM, F&B manager, banquet manager, or similar
  • A track record of developing people, not just directing them
  • Comfort with financial accountability — P&L, labor, cost control
  • High-volume service experience and composure under pressure
  • The mindset of an operator who wants to own outcomes, not just execute tasks
