Job Description
Job DescriptionStep into a transformative role as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery in Plymouth, New Hampshire, where your expertise guides families through pivotal moments with compassion and clinical excellence. This is your opportunity to make a lasting impact during childbirth, delivering patient-centered care that embraces evidence-based practice, family education, and the highest standards of safety. Nestled in the Lakes Region, Plymouth offers a welcoming New England environment where small-town charm meets outdoor adventure, and you’ll discover beauty in every season—from the tranquil lakes and winding trails to the vibrant fall foliage and nearby White Mountains. Explore the state’s natural wonders, savor local culture, and enjoy a community that values work–life balance and professional fulfillment. Start date is March 20, 2026, with a contract structure that welcomes your expertise for weeks at a time, and a weekly pay range that reflects the value of your skills: $2,469 to $2,607.
Location benefits extend beyond Plymouth’s intimate setting. While you’ll have the chance to base your practice in this inviting New Hampshire town, you may have opportunities to work in various locations across the United States, exposing you to diverse birthing practices, patient populations, and hospital cultures. This breadth of experience strengthens your clinical repertoire, enhances your professional network, and opens doors to ongoing education and advancement within the labor and delivery specialty. The surrounding regions offer access to outdoor recreation, excellent schools, and a welcoming healthcare community that prioritizes multidisciplinary teamwork, patient safety, and compassionate care. And for those who love the idea of occasional national travel, our program provides the flexibility to explore different environments while maintaining a supportive anchor in a cohesive team.
Role specifics and benefits are designed to elevate your practice and your quality of life. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you’ll be central to monitoring labor progression, conducting fetal surveillance, and assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries. You’ll manage analgesia and anesthesia coordination (including epidurals) in collaboration with physicians and anesthesia teams, support newborn care and resuscitation as needed, and provide immediate postpartum and lactation support, discharge planning, and family education. You’ll participate in rounds, quality improvement projects, and evidence-based initiatives that drive perinatal safety and exceptional outcomes for mothers and babies. There are abundant opportunities for professional growth within the L&D specialty—from pursuing advanced certifications to taking on mentorship roles and leadership pathways as you gain experience. Our compensation package is competitive and paired with robust supportive services: a sign-on or completion bonus, housing assistance to ease relocation, and contract extension opportunities to align with your long-term goals. We understand that travel adds layers of responsibility, so you’ll have 24/7 support from a dedicated team to assist you whenever you need it, around the clock. Flexible scheduling and the potential for role expansion ensure that your clinical aspirations align with your life outside the hospital. This program values your contributions and provides a framework for continuous development, collaborative practice, and a culture of encouragement and accountability. In addition, the stated weekly pay range offers transparency as you plan your finances and schedule, and the guaranteed hours metric remains adjustable to fit the specific assignment and location.
Our company values a culture that empowers staff, prioritizes career advancement, and fosters a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment. We believe in recognizing the expertise you bring, investing in your professional growth, and creating a team where nurses feel respected, heard, and equipped to deliver the highest standard of perinatal care. You’ll join colleagues who share a commitment to patient-centered practice, respectful teamwork, and continuous learning, supported by resources designed to help you thrive—mentorship programs, access to up-to-date continuing education, and a pathway to advanced practice opportunities within obstetric nursing. Your well-being matters here; we provide dedicated clinical and logistical support so you can focus on delivering outstanding care during one of life’s most meaningful moments.
Ready to take the next step? Apply now to join a dynamic team that values your expertise, honors your professional journey, and supports your growth in labor and delivery. Embrace the chance to work in a welcoming New Hampshire community with access to natural beauty, while exploring diverse settings across the U.S. and building a lasting impact on families you serve. Start your journey on March 20, 2026, and let us help you shape the future of perinatal care.
Please note: The hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
