About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Salem, NH. In this role, you will design and implement a high-quality curriculum, manage classroom dynamics, and foster a nurturing environment that supports the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young learners. You will also mentor assistant teachers and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with families.
What You'll Do
- Plan and execute daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood development standards.
- Oversee classroom management to ensure a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment.
- Observe and assess student progress, documenting milestones and sharing regular updates with parents.
- Mentor and guide assistant teachers and support staff within the classroom.
- Maintain compliance with all New Hampshire state licensing regulations and health guidelines.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field. OR
- 18 credits in ECE or related course work with 1000 hours experience OR
- 12 credits in ECE or related coursework with 3000 hours experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in a licensed childcare facility or preschool setting.
- Meeting New Hampshire Child Care Licensing Bureau requirements for a Lead Teacher designation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain them upon hire
