Sunbelt Staffing is partnering with school districts in the Amhurst, Massachusetts area to hire a full-time Special Education Teacher for the school year. As a Special Education Teacher, you'll support students with diverse learning needs through individualized instruction, IEP development, progress monitoring, and collaboration with families and school professionals.
Special Education Teacher Qualifications
Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher certification/license
Classroom teaching experience preferred
Experience providing specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Special Education Teacher Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP)
Monitor academic, behavioral, and social progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
Create a structured, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student educational planning
Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and compliance documentation
Provide accommodations and instructional support based on individual student needs
Help students develop independence, confidence, academic skills, and life skills
Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements

Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Amhurst, MA area
Schedule: Full-time, 32 - 37.5 hours per week
School-Based: Yes
