General Laborer – Excavation & Site Work
Pay: $19–$25/hour, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Berkshire County, MA
Hiring Date: ASAP

Rocky Ridge Excavation is seeking a dependable, hardworking General Laborer to join our excavation and site work crew. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is willing to learn.
For someone interested in building a career in excavation, we are willing to train the right person to become a heavy equipment operator over time.
What You'll Do
- Assist with excavation, driveway, drainage, septic, and site work projects
- Perform general labor including shoveling, raking, grading, carrying materials, and jobsite cleanup
- Assist equipment operators with groundwork and spotting
- Help install drainage pipe, culverts, septic components, gravel, and other materials
- Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
- Assist with general maintenance of machines on site locations and at shop
- Work as part of a small crew to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard
- Other work as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Dependable and able to show up on time and ready to work
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 50+ lbs.
- Able to follow instructions and work safely around trucks and heavy equipment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to/from Monterey, MA or Lee, MA
- Construction, landscaping, excavation, or similar experience is preferred, but not required for the right person
- Previous heavy equipment experience is a plus
*DOT Medical Card will be required within 60 days of employment if you do not yet possess one.
