What You’ll Be Doing
- Greet customers and make them feel confident they came to the right shop
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Build clear and professional repair orders
- Present technician findings and recommended repairs
- Provide accurate estimates and realistic completion timelines
- Communicate with customers throughout the repair process
- Follow up on declined services and previously recommended work
- Coordinate workflow with technicians and shop management
- Source parts from approved vendors based on quality, availability, and profitability
- Order the correct parts and confirm pricing and delivery times
- Receive incoming parts and verify accuracy before they reach the technician
- Handle incorrect, damaged, warranty, and returnable parts promptly
- Track special-order parts and maintain accurate parts documentation
- Help maintain a smooth, organized, and profitable front counter
- Deliver an honest, straightforward customer experience from start to finish
What We’re Looking For
- Previous automotive service-writing or advising experience preferred
- Experience sourcing, ordering, receiving, and returning automotive parts
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Confidence presenting and selling needed repairs
- Ability to stay organized in a busy repair-shop environment
- Basic understanding of automotive systems and repair terminology
- Strong attention to pricing, parts accuracy, and gross profit
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Strong follow-through and attention to detail
- A desire to earn, grow, and build long-term customer relationships
