Staff OB/GYN Physician in Vermont
Permanent Position | No Locums
We are seeking a Staff OB/GYN Physician to join a long-standing, stable practice serving a diverse community patient population. This role offers a strong balance of clinic, surgery, and obstetrics with excellent work-life balance and collaborative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-spectrum OB/GYN care
- Manage gynecologic consults from PCPs and in-house midwives
- Perform office-based gynecologic procedures
- Maintain steady surgical volume with access to three new operating rooms
- Participate in minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic surgeries
- Work 3–4 clinic days per week (12–14 patients/day)
- Average 3 dedicated OR days per month
- Provide physician backup for midwife-led obstetric care
- Participate in shared home call (1:4 rotation)
- Support a birth center offering:
- VBACs
- Water births
- Nitrous oxide
- 24-hour epidural services
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, CNMs, NPs, nursing, and MA staff
- Practice evidence-based medicine in a state with constitutional protection of reproductive rights

Candidate Restrictions
- Must live within 1 hour of the practice
- Not accepting visa candidates
- Not accepting locums or locums-to-perm candidates
- Not open to candidates planning to hold another concurrent position
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $280,000 – $360,000 (based on experience and internal equity)
- Additional compensation for extra call beyond scheduled rotation

All items below are required prior to client presentation:
- MD or DO degree – REQUIRED
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN – REQUIRED
- If Board Eligible, graduation date must be provided
- Completion of ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency (U.S. or Canada) – REQUIRED
- Active Vermont license (must be obtained prior to start) – REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice history – REQUIRED
