Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are aligned with each client’s unique goals, preferences, and requirements.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate healing and growth.

  • Provide education and ongoing support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

  • Monitor and track client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimum care.

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals for integrated care, advocating for clients' mental health needs.

  • Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatments to enhance therapeutic interventions.

  • Maintain confidential and accurate client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will engage with a diverse group of clients, including those experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clientele also includes marginalized groups such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your role will be pivotal in providing sensitive, empathetic support tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual.

  • Must possess a current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
