Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact by providing dedicated care as a 1:1 PRN nurse for a complex student who is wheelchair and ventilator dependent. Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Current RN license with valid credentials in Massachusetts
- Prior experience as a school nurse or strong interest in pediatric nursing
- Familiarity with ventilator care and managing complex medical needs
- Comfortable with 1:1 nursing assignments and a collaborative, team-focused approach
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with families and school staff
- BLS/CPR certification (required); additional pediatric certifications a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering attentive, individualized nursing care to a medically fragile student throughout the school day
- Monitoring and managing ventilator, mobility needs, and medication according to care plan
- Serving as a resource and advocate for the student within the educational setting
- Collaborating with the family, teaching staff, and allied professionals to support inclusion and safety
- Maintaining accurate documentation of care and adhering to all nursing and school protocols
