This contract assignment is ideal for dedicated Certified Occupational Therapists (OT) and Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) seeking a comprehensive school-based experience for the 2026-2027 academic year.

You’ll provide pivotal support throughout a district with four school buildings. The OT role covers the entire K-12 range, while the COTA provides direct service to students in grades 5-12 and select classrooms in grades 2-4, collaborating closely under supervisory guidance. Flexible arrangements are available—virtual candidates will be considered for pitches and further discussion.

What you need to bring:

• Valid VT OT or COTA certification
• Previous experience in a school-based OT or COTA position highly preferred
• Ability to support and adapt interventions for a wide range of ages and developmental levels
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Your role will involve:

• Delivering direct and consultative OT services to K-12 students
• Supporting IEP implementation, documentation, and progress monitoring
• Collaborating with educators and other professionals to maximize student success
• Traveling between four district buildings as needed
• Providing guidance and mentorship if you are serving as the supervising OT

Position specifics:

• Full-time, 35-37.5 hours per week
• Academic calendar from August 26, 2026, to June 14, 2027
