Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team at a reputable hospital, providing support in a multi-specialty ambulatory clinic. The role involves distributing mail and reports, performing account maintenance, and efficiently handling customer issues.
Responsibilities
- Distribute mail, reports, and written communication to designated parties.
- Perform account maintenance, faxing, scanning, and copying tasks.
- Identify and resolve customer issues promptly and efficiently, escalating complex cases to appropriate departments when necessary.
- Interact with patients during check-in and check-out.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in insurance verification, medical customer service, and data entry.
- 1+ year of experience with EPIC systems.
- Experience working in a multi-specialty ambulatory clinic.
- Ability to communicate with insurance companies and understand the claims process.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Understanding of medical billing and health care processes.
- Ability to interact with patients in a professional manner.
- No prior scheduling or billing experience required.
Work Environment
This is a fully on-site position at the main campus for ambulatory clinics, specifically in the ortho, primary care, and allergy clinics. The work hours are 9am to 6pm, with one Saturday required each month. Join a great hospital environment where you will gain experience in a multitude of specialties.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boston, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
