Exciting opportunity available for a dedicated Paraprofessional to support a preschool student in a dynamic educational environment. This part-time, contract role offers the chance to make a genuine impact working closely with both intensive needs and general education preschool classrooms. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:30AM-2:50PM, totaling 26 hours per week—ideal for candidates seeking flexibility and meaningful experience.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous paraprofessional experience in a school setting, specifically with behavioral-based support
- ABA training or equivalent hands-on experience required
- Must be comfortable assisting students in special education (SPED) classrooms
- High school diploma required
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute
- Successful district fingerprints clearance and agency onboarding
- Flexibility to adapt to classroom changes as needed
- At least one completed professional reference required before submission
Role Responsibilities:
- Offer consistent, compassionate support to a preschool student in both intensive and general education settings
- Assist with implementing ABA-based interventions and positive behavior supports
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to enhance the learning experience
- Foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere while addressing individual student needs
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and open communication
- Quickly respond and adapt to evolving classroom assignments or schedules
