Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position in New Hampshire, requiring 2-3 years of ICU experience and the ability to float across multiple units including ED, Stepdown, and Med/Surg.

- Hospital-based Medical ICU position with a float pool assignment covering ED, Stepdown, Med/Surg (with modified assignment), and potentially the Behavioral Health Annex
- The unit may go extended periods without ICU patients; during those times, nurses will work in a PCU setting with a 4:1 patient ratio
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7p–7a, weekdays with every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Preferred EMR experience: Cerner (not required)
- Key equipment includes balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella, ICP monitoring, Arctic Sun/TTM management, Alaris pumps, and rapid infusers

Requirements\n

- Active NH or Compact RN license currently in hand — temporary licenses are not accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Preferred certifications: TNCC, PALS, CCRN
- 2–3 years of ICU experience required; candidates closer to 2 years must demonstrate strong independent practice and a broad variety of care experience
- Experience in both ICU and Stepdown settings is preferred
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and quickly
- Valid driver's license with address matching demographics on file
- 3 professional references required upon commitment (2 must be from leadership — manager or charge RN; no peers or coworkers)

- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a local pay rate
- Former permanent staff are eligible to return as a traveler after a minimum 12-month break in service
- Weekly orientation provided
- Training will be provided for floating to the Behavioral Health Annex
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront for consideration
- Skills checklist matching the ICU specialty (or ICU and Stepdown combined) is preferred
