Job Summary

The Estimator will prepare accurate project cost estimates, collaborate with internal and external partners, and support the sales and project teams to ensure efficient and timely project delivery. This role requires strong analytical skills, blueprint reading ability, and experience coordinating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain organized documentation for all estimates, sales receipts, and project completion materials.
  • Drywall Estimation experience in construction projects is required.
  • Assist the sales team with final project preparation and client transactions.
  • Present estimates to clients professionally and on time.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects to ensure complete and accurate estimates.
  • Attend and fulfill scheduled client appointments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and all relevant documents for estimate preparation.
  • Analyze project scope regarding labor, materials, timelines, and costs.
  • Recommend cost-saving and value engineering options.
  • Prepare detailed budgets from concept design through construction.
  • Perform accurate quantity take-offs and measurements.
  • Manage the bid process, including preparation of bid packages and submissions.
  • Review, compare, and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships.
  • Communicate deliverables and procurement needs with field teams.
  • Ensure all projects remain within established budget constraints.
  • Recommend short-term strategies and long-term sales/marketing goals.
  • Monitor market trends and technical trade developments.


Requirements

  • Ability to work independently or with a team.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; strong math background required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Industry certifications preferred but not required.
  • Prior hands-on or on-the-job construction training is a major plus.
