Make a difference in the life of a student as a Virtual Special Education Teacher for a short-term contract. This opportunity involves working with a 5th grade male student, providing targeted Specially Designed Instruction in a remote 1:1 setting. The position is anticipated to last for a few weeks up to a month, as the district prepares an out-of-district placement for the student. Flexibility is key, with a schedule tailored to meet the needs of the student, contractor, and other support services.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct virtual special education instruction for 2 hours per week to a single 5th grade student.
- Offer indirect services and communication time as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized educational strategies tailored to student goals and abilities.
- Coordinate with school professionals and caregivers to align service delivery.
- Track progress and document sessions in accordance with district and state requirements.
- Adjust instruction based on feedback and evolving student needs over the course of the contract.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification.
