We are currently seeking a dedicated and student-focused Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school district in Newport, NH. This is a great opportunity to work collaboratively with educators and support staff while making a meaningful impact on students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct academic instruction and differentiated support
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, support staff, and families
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Qualifications
- Active New Hampshire Special Education Teaching Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
- Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills
- Passion for supporting student success and inclusion
