Description\n
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatrics RN with 2+ years of recent Peds/PICU experience and prior travel nursing experience for a night shift assignment requiring float coverage to PICU.

- Work in the Pediatrics unit with primary staffing on Peds and required float coverage to PICU
- Patient population includes respiratory, trauma, psych, diabetes, general med surg, and eating disorder cases
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
- Every third weekend required
- Must be able to work all 7 days due to union facility scheduling policy with no special accommodations
- Uses Epic charting system

Requirements\n

- Active MA RN license required in hand
- Minimum 2 years of recent Peds/PICU experience required
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- APHON certification preferred
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Experience with 1:2 patient ratios
- Skilled in pediatric-specific care including respiratory management, IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency response
- Two references required for consideration, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher

- Must pass a Pass/Fail Telemetry (EKG) test during orientation with an 80% passing score and only one attempt allowed
- Must pass a Pass/Fail Medication exam during orientation
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 200-mile radius
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
- Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
- Candidates with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license cannot be considered
