Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Carpenter specializing in log home construction and repair. In this role, you will focus on assembling exterior structural components, executing custom exterior installations, and completing specialized wood repairs according to project plans and blueprints.
Key Responsibilities
- Log Assembly & Framing: Install and assemble pre-manufactured log home components, including exterior log walls, roof rafters, and structural roofing systems.
- Exterior & Finish Installations: Install exterior doors, windows, decks, porches, and custom wood trim.
- Blueprint Reading: Carefully follow architectural plans, engineering specs, and project drawings to ensure all work meets structural standards.
- Site Operations: Utilize hand and power tools safely, uphold strict job site safety protocols, and collaborate effectively with crew members.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Proven proficiency in framing, woodworking, or general carpentry.
- Blueprints & Tools: Ability to read blueprints accurately and operate standard hand and power tools safely.
- Drivers License: Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable personal transportation.
- Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, pride in precision work, and a dependable, team-first attitude.
- Physical Ability: Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, lifting heavy components, and working at heights on scaffolding or ladders.
Work Schedule & Location
- Schedule: Full-time, Day shift (Monday – Friday)
- Base Location: Hopedale, MA
- Service Radius: Majority of projects are located within a 1.5-hour radius of Mendon, MA, with occasional projects across broader New England.
