Make a positive impact in a school community as a dedicated paraprofessional supporting students’ academic and personal growth during the 2026–2027 school year. This contract opportunity is conveniently located near Winchester, NH, within a collaborative and welcoming high school setting.
In this role, you’ll support a small group of students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) who participate in the general education environment. The ideal candidate approaches daily tasks with flexibility, compassion, and a strong desire to help each student succeed both academically and personally.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or PCA in a school setting strongly preferred
- Comfortable providing toileting, personal care, and mobility assistance to students
- Familiarity with working alongside students who have IEPs
- Ability to follow academic plans and reinforce learning with patience and positivity
- Effective communication skills for working with students, teachers, and support staff
- Dependability and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities
- Assist students with academic activities and provide classroom support
- Carry out personal care routines, including toileting
- Help develop and maintain a safe, encouraging, and inclusive classroom
- Foster positive relationships through respectful, individualized support
- Support teachers and therapists in implementing student goals and behavior plans
- Maintain student confidentiality and accurate daily documentation
This contract runs Monday through Friday, from August 26, 2026, to June 15, 2027. The school day is from 8:40 AM to 3:33 PM, providing a consistent weekday schedule in a supportive environment.
