(Senior) Scientific Manager
(Computational Biology) – Boston|Cambridge (On-Site), US

We are seeking a highly skilled Computational Biologist / Senior Bioinformatician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computational biology and data analysis. The candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing complex computational projects, as well as communicating findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Who are we looking for?
- You hold a PhD with 4+ years of biopharma experience or a Masters Degree with 6+ years’ experience in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Bioengineering, Computational Biology, or related field.
- You show a strong track record of multi-omics data analysis (bulk RNA-Seq, microarray, proteomics and scRNA-Seq) and its downstream analysis (gene signature analysis, cell-typing/deconvolution, differential gene/protein analysis).
- You have hands-on experience on biomarker analysis using AI/ML techniques and its associated downstream systematic interpretation. This is key.
- You have had exposure to immunology/immuno-oncology therapeutic area. This is a plus.
- You have a good understanding of current best practices in computational biology data-management (NGS/Transcriptiomics/Microarray/Proteomics/Clinical-trials/Text-mining, etc.) including the following:
- You have expertise in one or more programming/scripting languages such as R, Python, shell-script for complex data analysis.
- You have the ability to generate in-silico experimental workflows and in-depth knowledge in proprietary and public biological databases, methods, and tools.
- Experience with Docker and Nextflow is a plus.
- Experience with Linux environment or cloud computing (AWS/GCP) is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems such as Bitbucket/GitHub is a plus.
- Ability to generate scientific hypothesis along with good scientific/technical communication skills would be preferred.
- You can plan, organize and execute a computational project independently, communicating effectively with stakeholders along every step of the way, being guided by your team lead or program manager
- You are able to summarize large amounts of results in a concise way, and effectively present them to clients within and outside your domain.
- You are eligible to work and live in US, without restriction (no sponsorship required) and are willing to work on-site in the Cambridge area full-time.
