Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher with ESL expertise is needed for a K-12 school near Greenfield, MA, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This itinerant role is contracted for the remainder of the school year and offers an engaging opportunity to support diverse learners in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with special needs across various grades.
  • Provide ESL support to English language learners, enhancing language acquisition and academic success.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive learning plans.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Participate in professional development to stay current on best practices in special education and ESL methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification in Special Education.
  • ESL teaching certification or demonstrated ESL teaching experience.
  • Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in a school setting.
  • Ability to design and implement differentiated instruction.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
