Make a real difference in the educational experience of high school students by providing dedicated support as a contract paraprofessional. In this role, you will serve as a 1:1 support staff for a 10th-grade student, ensuring that their unique needs are met throughout the school day. You’ll be an integral part of the student’s educational journey, collaborating with teachers and other support personnel to create an inclusive and supportive environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active LPN certification required
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or working within school settings preferred
- Strong background supporting individuals with medical and physical needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability to changing daily circumstances
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and attentive 1:1 medical and educational support to a high school student
- Monitor and assist with medical protocols as prescribed
- Foster a safe, encouraging environment that promotes the student’s independence and participation
- Collaborate with teaching staff, nursing, and other school professionals to deliver well-rounded care
- Maintain accurate documentation of assistance/procedures as required by school policies
Position Details:
- Contract role
- Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
- Caseload focused exclusively on one student
