Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students as a paraprofessional in a dynamic Title 1 setting. This contract opportunity spans the academic year, running from September to June, and offers approximately 32.5 hours per week with consistent daytime hours. Qualifications:
- Demonstrated paraprofessional skills, particularly in a school environment
- Must supply three professional references, including your most recent supervisor
- Provide proof of one of the following:• Valid Paraprofessional II certificate• Transcripts showing post-secondary credits equivalent to an Associate’s degree• Completed Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- Prior experience in elementary education or special education support is strongly preferred
- Strong communication, team collaboration, and adaptability
Responsibilities:
- Support teachers and specialists in daily classroom activities and instruction
- Provide one-on-one or small-group academic support to help students meet goals
- Assist with adapting classroom materials for diverse learning needs
- Monitor student behavior and reinforce positive engagement
- Participate in meetings, staff training, and parent communications as needed
- Help to foster an atmosphere of respect, encouragement, and safety
- Uphold school policies and ensure confidentiality of student information
