The Activities Assistant supports a senior living community by planning and coordinating engaging recreational activities designed to promote social interaction and educational enrichment for medium-sized groups. This role involves preparing activity sessions, collaborating with team members, and occasionally traveling locally between sites to ensure a vibrant and fulfilling environment for participants.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate recreational activities tailored to senior participants
  • Engage participants to foster social interaction and enrichment
  • Set up materials and spaces for activity sessions
  • Communicate effectively with participants and team members
  • Collaborate with staff to enhance program offerings
  • Travel locally as needed between community sites

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in recreational activities
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite

This position is 32 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional weekends as well.
