A dynamic contract opportunity is available for a district-wide Occupational Therapist, supporting K-12 students for the upcoming academic year. Begin your assignment at the start of the school year, working full-time hours between 35-37.5 per week, and finish just after school lets out next June.
Use your expertise in school-based occupational therapy to address student needs, collaborating closely with educational teams and families across multiple sites. You’ll have the chance to foster greater student independence, facilitate access to learning, and help build functional skills crucial for their academic and life success.
Qualifications:
- Active Vermont OT certificate
- Previous school-based OT experience is highly valued
- Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with educators, support staff, and parents
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- K-12 experience preferred, but not required
- Flexibility to travel between buildings within the district
Responsibilities:
- Assess individual student needs, develop and implement IEPs and intervention plans
- Deliver direct therapy services
- Consult with teachers and staff on classroom modifications and accommodations
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in team meetings
- Educate families and collaborate in multidisciplinary settings
