Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference in the lives of students by providing vital support in a mental health/behavior self-contained program within a middle school setting. This rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year offers the chance to work closely with a small, focused caseload and play a key role in their educational and personal growth.

Key Qualifications:

Valid New Hampshire Teaching License
Strong background working with students in special education, particularly those with behavioral or mental health needs
Experience in case management, creating and implementing IEPs, and conducting evaluations
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families

Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction to middle school students in a self-contained mental health/behavior classroom (approximately 10-16 students)
Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt lessons to suit varied learning needs
Conduct student evaluations, manage IEP compliance, and maintain accurate records
Participate in meetings with staff and families to support student development
Offer behavioral and emotional support tailored to each student’s requirements
Maintain a structured, compassionate classroom environment that fosters trust and positive change

Details:

Full-time, contract position for the 2026-2027 academic year (September 1, 2026 - June 16, 2027)
Scheduled hours are 7:30 AM to 2:20 PM, totaling 32.5–35 hours per week
