Working weekdays and full time, you’ll collaborate with educators to deliver assistance, encouragement, and structure for students, helping to facilitate a positive classroom environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a comparable educational support capacity
- Familiarity with high school curriculums and instructional practices
- Clear communication skills and ability to build rapport with students and staff
- Ability to adapt to varying student needs and provide individualized or group support
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus
- Patience, respect for diversity, and a collaborative attitude
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and delivery
- Work directly with students, providing academic or behavioral support as needed
- Supervise and engage students in classroom and small-group settings
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment
- Support administrative tasks and classroom organization, as directed
- Adapt and implement individualized academic plans
- Provide feedback and observations to teachers for student progress tracking
