TRAVEL PHARMACY TECHNICIAN III\n
\n
\n
SHIFT:
\n Days, 8 hours, Monday–Friday.
\n Traveler must be available for any/all of the following schedules:
\n • 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
\n • 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
\n • 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
\n
\n
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
\n • 3+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience
\n • Retail pharmacy experience required
\n • Minimum 6 months of current or previous inpatient hospital experience
\n • Experience mixing/compounding hazardous and non-hazardous compounds required
\n • Ability to work independently within established policies
\n • Strong math skills, including fractions, ratios, and decimals
\n • Moderate computer skills and experience with pharmacy automation technology
\n
\n
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSE:
\n • PTCB – Pharmacy Technician Certification Board certification required
\n • Registered Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician required
\n • BLS – American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
\n
\n
RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n • Prepare, mix, compound, and dispense medications and pharmaceuticals
\n • Follow hospital-approved policies and departmental SOPs
\n • Assist with medication preparation and control
\n • Interact professionally with pharmacists, nurses, technicians, and ancillary staff
\n • Operate pharmacy and hospital computer systems
\n • Use automated medication dispensing systems and IV room equipment
\n • Occasionally drive a vehicle to designated destinations for deliveries
\n • Perform daily pharmacy duties independently with limited direct pharmacist supervision
\n

RTO / SCHEDULING:
\n • All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of submission
\n • No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted; less is preferred
\n • RTO requests submitted after upload will not be approved
\n • All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission
\n • Facility will not approve scheduling requests after offer or interview
\n • Requests made after offer may result in a rescinded offer
