Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments on new clients to identify their mental health needs and areas of concern.

  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with established best practices, while considering each client's unique experiences and goals.
  • \n

  • Engage clients in therapy sessions—be it individual, couples, or family therapy—utilizing evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure desired outcomes are being met.
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards, ensuring that all documentation reflects client interactions and progress.
  • \n

  • Stay current with developments in the field of mental health therapy through ongoing professional development, attending workshops, and participating in relevant training initiatives.
  • \n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this position, you will primarily work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and your ability to empathize with and relate to their experiences will be instrumental in providing effective support. You will have the opportunity to make meaningful impacts on their mental health journeys as they work towards achieving their goals.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.

  • An active LCMHC license in the state of Vermont or the ability to obtain licensure.
  • \n

  • At least two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, with a solid understanding of diverse therapeutic modalities.
  • \n

  • Proficiency in evidence-based treatment methods and a passion for staying updated on clinical advancements.
  • \n

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong ability to connect with clients and collaborate with team members.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Experience working with a variety of client demographics, including but not limited to children, adolescents, and families.

  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital documentation systems that support remote therapy.

  • A background in crisis intervention and an understanding of community resources available to clients.
