Make a significant impact supporting students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in a welcoming school environment. This part-time contract position is available as soon as possible and continues through March 2026, with the potential for extension based on future needs. You’ll collaborate closely with a dedicated full-time Teacher of the Deaf, sharing the caseload to ensure students receive high-quality, individualized support.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing certification required
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to tailor instruction and support to meet the unique needs of students
- Passion for empowering students who are deaf or hard of hearing
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and support to students who are deaf/hard of hearing, tailoring approaches to age and grade as needed
- Work as a collaborative partner with the district’s full-time Teacher of the Deaf
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Adjust caseload, school site, or age group preferences through open dialogue with district leadership
- Support the development and implementation of individualized education plans
