Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dependable Tier I Helpdesk specialist to provide day-to-day technical support for students and school staff. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys resolving technology issues, delivering strong customer service, and supporting a fast-paced educational environment. The person in this role will handle a wide range of hardware, software, and connectivity needs while helping maintain consistent IT operations across multiple locations.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver first- and second-level technical assistance for end users, addressing issues related to computers, mobile devices, classroom technology, and network access.
• Diagnose and resolve problems involving Windows systems, iOS devices, ChromeOS equipment, software applications, and peripheral hardware.
• Set up, install, configure, and update workstations, devices, and software to ensure reliable performance and user readiness.
• Monitor and manage service desk requests, establish priorities based on urgency, and document resolutions for future reference.
• Support user and device administration tasks within Active Directory, Google Admin Console, and other endpoint management tools.
• Track technology assets, including equipment inventory, software licensing, and warranty status, to support operational planning and replacement needs.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation, user guidance, and standard support procedures to improve response consistency.
• Travel between school sites as needed to provide on-site support, equipment deployment, and issue resolution.• At least 1 year of experience in help desk, desktop support, or a similar IT support role.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, general Microsoft Windows environments, and basic troubleshooting practices.
• Experience handling service desk tickets and managing multiple support requests in an organized manner.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and user support in managed device environments.
• Ability to support and troubleshoot desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, and common software issues.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer-service skills with the ability to assist a diverse user base.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between locations.
• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
