Job DescriptionOpen Position: Part-Time Physical Education Teacher
Thacher Montessori School is seeking an enthusiastic, student-centered Part-Time Physical Education Teacher to provide physical education instruction to Elementary and Middle School students during the academic year.
Schedule: Approximately 15 hours per week
Compensation: $40-$50 per hour, commensurate with experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, Education, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience teaching and/or coaching school-aged children
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A warm, energetic, and engaging personality
- An appreciation for child-centered education
Responsibilities include: - Planning and leading age-appropriate physical education classes
- Promoting physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy habits
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring the safe use of activity spaces
- Collaborating with faculty and administration as needed
