American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level I Trauma Center position requiring an active MA RN license and telemetry proficiency.

- >Emergency Department setting within a Level I Trauma Center
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 11:00 PM to 11:30 AM)
- Shift start time may flex up to four hours earlier or later based on urgent department staffing needs, though this is rarely invoked
- Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations, requiring availability to work all 7 days
- Care includes Psych/Behavioral Health ED patients
- EPIC EMR experience preferred

Requirements\n

- Active MA RN license in hand required
- Minimum 1.5 years (18 months) of ER nursing experience required, 2+ years preferred
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC
- Must be able to read and interpret telemetry, including identification and management of dysrhythmias
- Skilled in respiratory care and management of ventilated patients
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- Triage skills preferred
- 2 professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher

- Must complete pass/fail medication and telemetry exams at orientation, each with only one attempt allowed; failure to pass results in immediate contract cancellation
- Multiple study materials provided during the compliance process and facility-directed interviews (FDIs) to help prepare for exams
- Facility offers contract lengths ranging from 13-26 weeks, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week
- One major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) must be included in requested time off
- Priority given to candidates with minimal RTO requests and those accepting 26-week contracts
- Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at the standard bill rate
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system before reapplying
- First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
