Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week (4x10-hour shifts)


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a long-term contract at Salem Hospital. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a high-acuity cardiac cath and electrophysiology (EP) lab setting. This role is crucial for providing expert care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Expertise: Provide specialized nursing care within a two-room Cardiac Cath Lab, assisting with a variety of procedures including PCI, Impella, balloon pump, device implants, and ablations.
  • Procedural Support: Demonstrate strong skills in interventional cardiac procedures, including the ability to scrub in as needed.
  • Patient Care: Care for a primarily adult patient population.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth and efficient lab operations.
  • Documentation: Utilize the EPIC - Cupid EMR system for all patient charting and documentation.
  • On-Call: Be available for required on-call shifts on weekdays, weekends, and holidays to meet operational needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of recent experience in a Cardiac Cath/EP Lab.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interventional cardiac and scrub experience.
    • Proficiency with cardiac catheterization and EP lab procedures.
  • Education & Licensure:
    • Active and unrestricted Massachusetts RN License.
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS certification is required.

Work Schedule

  • Shift: Days, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, consisting of four 10-hour shifts.
  • On-Call: On-call duties are required for this position.
  • Floating: Floating to other units is not required.
