Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position offers an excellent opportunity to work within an elementary school setting providing essential services to a diverse student population, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The role requires an experienced professional to support assessment, intervention, and collaborative communication efforts that enhance student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and prepare detailed reports.
- Deliver individualized speech-language services tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams through consultations.
- Develop and write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including goal setting and progress monitoring.
- Work directly with students using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
- Maintain active communication with families to support student progress.
- Ensure compliance with all school and state guidelines, including CORI background checks and fingerprinting.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Massachusetts is mandatory.
- Prior experience in school-based speech-language pathology.
- Must have completed Clinical Certification (CCC), be a Clinical Fellow (CF), or a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Strong preference for candidates holding CCC credentials.
- Proven experience working with the ASD student population and AAC devices.
