We are seeking experienced Diesel Technicians in Norton Mass for our Waste Collection Service Provider client!
Role Summary:This role will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty diesel vehicles in a fast-paced environment. Candidates will work on refuse trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles.
Shift: Day: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM -Second: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Pay: $30 – $45/hr
Level A – Must-Have Requirements:

5+ years hands-on diesel technician experience with heavy-duty vehicles

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
-
Expertise in diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, drive trains, suspension, and hydraulics
-
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools
-
Valid driver's license; CDL preferred
Level B – Must-Have Requirements:
-
2–4 years diesel repair experience or equivalent training
-
Proficiency with diesel engines, brakes, and mechanical systems
-
Ability to follow technical instructions and use diagnostic tools
-
Valid driver's license
Preferred Skills / Good-to-Have:
-
ASE certifications or manufacturer-specific diesel certifications
-
Experience with waste collection trucks or similar commercial vehicles
-
Welding and fabrication skills
-
Experience with electronic vehicle diagnostic systems
-
Mentoring or assisting junior technicians
-
Flexible with shift scheduling
Key Responsibilities:
-
Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty diesel vehicles
-
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems
-
Replace or repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and other systems
-
Maintain accurate service and repair records
-
Follow safety protocols at all times
-
Assist or mentor other technicians as needed
Physical Requirements:
-
Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
-
Work in varied weather conditions
-
Stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
