Job Description
Job Description
The first five years in construction decide the next twenty, and the Assistant Project Manager seat is where they are spent. Greater Boston builders are hiring. BELMONT Search is a Construction and Infrastructure executive search firm.
THE ROLE
You learn buyout, cost control and how owners actually make decisions, with enough rope to be useful rather than only to file paper.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Submittals, RFIs and procurement logs, end to end
- Buyout support with real exposure to the numbers
- Field time with your superintendent every week
- Owner meetings inside your first year, in the room rather than on the minutes
- Cost coding and support on monthly billing
- Long lead tracking and the schedule impact when a date slips
QUALIFICATIONS
- One to four years in commercial construction
- Co-ops and internships count, and so does having come off the tools
- You want to run your own work sooner rather than later
- Comfortable asking a subcontractor a question you do not yet know the answer to
COMPENSATION
Base of $75,000 to $100,000, plus bonus.
